Static electric dipole moment of the francium atom induced by axionlike particle exchange

چکیده
The francium atom is considered as a prospective candidate system to search for the $\mathcal{T},\mathcal{P}$-violating electron electric dipole moment [Aoki et al., Quantum Sci. Technol. 6, 044008 (2021)]. We demonstrate that same experiment can be used axionlike particles (ALP) search. For this, we calculate electronic structure constants of ALP-mediated interaction wide range ALP masses. Using recently updated constraints on products ALP-electron and ALP-nucleon coupling constants, show contribution interactions corresponding these give significant atomic moment. Therefore, obtainment stronger restrictions characteristics in possible.

Enhancement factor for the electron electric dipole moment in francium and gold atoms
If electrons had an electric dipole moment (EDM) they would induce EDMs of atoms. The ratio of the atomic EDM to the electron EDM for a particular atom is called the enhancement factor, R. We calculate the enhancement factor for the francium and gold atoms, with the results 910± ∼ 5% for Fr and 260± ∼ 15% for Au. The large values of these enhancement factors make these atoms attractive for elec...
متن کاملElectron Electric Dipole Moment induced by Octet - Colored Scalars
An appended sector of two octet-colored scalars, each an electroweak doublet, is an interesting extension of the simple two Higgs doublet model motivated by the minimal flavor violation. Their rich CP violating interaction gives rise to a sizable electron electric dipole moment, besides the quark electric dipole moment via the two-loop contribution of Barr-Zee mechanism.
متن کاملThe Muon Electric Dipole Moment
The electric dipole moment of the muon (dμ) is evaluated in a two Higgs doublet model with a softly broken discrete symmetry. For tan β ≡ |v2|/|v1| ∼ 1, contributions from two loop diagrams involving the t quark and the W boson dominate; while for tan β ∼ > 10, contributions from two loop diagrams involving the b quark and the τ lepton are dominant. For 8 ∼ > tan β ∼ > 4, significant cancellati...
متن کاملNeutron Electric Dipole Moment Experiments
The possibility of a non-zero value for neutron EDM continues to be of central importance in physics and cosmology. A non-zero neutron EDM would be a direct evidence for time-reversal symmetry violation. It also implies CP-violation under the assumption of CPT invariance. To date, only two examples of CP-violation have been found: decays of neutral K mesons and B mesons. CP-violation is believe...
متن کاملNeutron Electric Dipole Moment Experiment
A.1.a General Introduction Precision measurements of the properties of the neutron present an opportunity to search for violations of fundamental symmetries and to make critical tests of the validity of the Standard Model (SM) of electroweak (EW) interactions. These experiments have been pursued with great energy and interest since Chadwick [i] discovered the neutron in 1932. Searches for the e...
